Please REFER to the NAMING CHART and REFERENCE POSTs.
Exporting a timeline from Final Cut Pro (FCP) to DaVinci Resolve is a common post-production workflow for color grading and finishing. Here's a quick guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Open your FCP project and select the timeline you want to export.
Step 2: Check for any effects that are present in your offline timeline, and remove them if necessary.
Step 3: Make sure that your offline timeline is relinked to the original source files, not the proxies.
Step 4: Choose File > Export XML from the menu.
Step 5: Name your XML file and choose a location to save it.
Step 6: Open DaVinci Resolve and create a new project.
Step 7: Choose File > Import Timeline > Import AAF, EDL, XML from the menu.
Step 8: Navigate to your XML file and select it.
Step 9: DaVinci Resolve will import your timeline, including all the media files and transitions used in the FCP project.
